Wanderstein
Painted stones that go hiking with you.
We painted stones and left them along hiking trails. Each one has a small QR code and its own logbook. If you find one, take it with you for a while, put it down again and tell us where it is now.
Where are the stones? How it works
Find
Keep your eyes open at trail junctions, benches and summit crosses. Scan the QR code on the stone.
Take it along
Carry the stone for part of your hike. A few kilometres or as far as the next hut.
Leave it & report
Put it down next to a trail where people will see it and send us a photo of the new spot. Please no faces.
Where are the stones?
The pins only show roughly where a stone was last seen. Only people who scan the QR code on the stone see its exact route.

Who is behind this?
Wanderstein is a small family project. We paint, we hike, and we are happy about every message telling us where our stones have got to.
No account, no app, no ads. Just stones, trails and a logbook.
