This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no fonts or scripts from other servers.

Hosting: the site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary access data (such as IP address, time, requested page and browser) and keeps it for a short time to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Data may be transferred to the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, available site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Map: the map data (OpenStreetMap) comes from OpenFreeMap (Hyperknot Software Kft., Hungary). OpenFreeMap sees your IP address; according to them it is not kept in their access logs. If your browser does not support WebGL, image tiles come directly from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom) instead. We only pass on our domain, not the exact address of the page. The map font is served by us.

Language: if you switch the language, your browser remembers the choice locally (localStorage). This never leaves your device.

Location: if you tap “Report new spot” and allow it, your browser determines your location locally and writes it into the prepared email. It only reaches us if you send the email.

Emails: our mailbox is hosted by Hetzner (Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). If you write to us, we use your message and photos to update the stone's logbook. We only publish the photo, place, date and your first name if you give it. We remove hidden data from the photos (such as GPS) first. We never publish your email address. On request we delete your entry.

Your rights: you can ask us at any time what we have stored about you and have it corrected or deleted. Just send us an email. You may also complain to a data protection authority; for us that is the LDI NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia).
